Becoming an Egg Donor

One in seven couples cannot have the family they very much desire and need your help. While considering whether to become an egg donor, one must understand that our intended parents receiving donor eggs are going through an expensive and emotional process. For this reason, The World Egg and Sperm Bank carefully and respectfully screens all applicants to meet certain criteria.

Egg Donor Qualifications:

  • Women between ages 18-32
  • Must hold a Permanent Residency in either the United States or Canada along with corresponding official Government issued ID.
  • Non-smoker
  • No alcohol and/or drug abuse or addiction
  • Good knowledge of medical and genetic history of family members up to biological grandparents (even if applicant is adopted, they must know this information)
  • Cannot be on the following forms of birth control: Depo-Provera or Implanon/Nexplanon
  • Healthy Body Mass Index
  • Be willing to administer medications by injection (very small subcutaneous needles)

You Must Be Committed to the Process!

The World Egg and Sperm Bank expects all of our donors to be honest, dependable and committed when filling out the application and paperwork. While the egg donation process is rewarding, it is important to understand that it is engaging.  It will take only about 40 hours of your time, but that is spread out over several months prior to a donation.

If you meet all of these qualifications and are fully committed please apply!
